We are pleased to announce the hire of our DU DialogUes Graduate Coordinators for 2019-20:

  • Franklin Hughes is a rising second year master’s student in the Korbel School, where he’s worked in the Office of Academic and Student Affairs.
  • Manda Wittebort is a rising second year master’s student in the Higher Ed program at Morgridge, and has worked with CCESL and ISSS this year.

With our Program Manager (hire also in process), they’ll work on expanding our communication skills, community-building and conflict management experiences across campus, toward a more deeply integrated dialogic experience in the new Dimond Family residence and broader co-curricular undergrad experience. With HRE’s Khouri Markos, Manda will also support the continued success of the GlobalRes living community, while Franklin helps take the AllGender living community to the next level. We’ll share more about these new colleagues and specific duties as they begin in early fall!

Graduating Coordinators Kelly Hill and Syah Taylor have done an amazing job in starting up the co-curricular DU Dialogues initiative, especially in midst of staff changes, building moves and more. While they are selfishly moving on to even greater things, we so appreciate their interest, energy, patience and persistence in laying such a strong foundation!

The DU DialogUes initiative is part of the IMPACT2025 strategic plan (https://impact.du.edu/initiative/creating-access-opportunity-10-35), and its co-curricular programs are a partnership between CLIE and the Conflict Resolution Institute (du.edu/conflictresolution) at Korbel.
