Internationalization

In the 21^st century, producing and disseminating knowledge is a global process.  The Internet makes it possible to collaborate on scientific research or work project through instantaneous virtual connections, bringing together participants from around the world. But building the lasting, meaningful human relationships that make these collaborations successful often requires face-to-face interaction. Universities are uniquely positioned to make both face-to-face and virtual interactions possible, and DU is committed to doing both – for students, faculty, and the broader community.

As part of the vision of DU IMPACT 2025, DU will continue to broaden its substantial international profile to support new forms of collaboration among faculty members and our international partners, focusing on research that harnesses our individual strengths to work together. DU also continues to build knowledge bridges for our students, using our strong record of undergraduate study abroad to encourage students to pursue global master’s programs at partner universities and to reach more students, including first generation and non-traditional students, with short-term study abroad options. DU will also work to engage alumni and connect them with international businesses, non-governmental organizations and cultural institutions overseas.
