BURWELL CENTER FOR CAREER ACHIEVEMENT
As part of DU IMPACT 2025, DU is working to become the ‘Union Station’ of engagement, service, opportunity and transformation. We are bringing the alumni voice and experience into the careers and professional aspirations of our undergraduate and graduate students, a goal made possible through increased staffing and a renewed commitment to alumni engagement. Our state-of-the-art Burwell Center for Career Achievement will provide a physical space that brings to life this bold vision. Placed in the heart of campus, the Burwell Center will boast open, welcoming floor plans, meeting spaces, event spaces, office spaces, a mass timber construction concept and a beautiful courtyard surrounded by Colorado native landscaping. The Burwell Center will embody a commitment to professional and personal development, networking, career connections and authentic engagement with the DU community.
Our DU Community:
The University of Denver community spans 140,000 alumni and over 12,000 students. The Burwell Center will be an engaged and activated meeting place where the expansive DU community will thrive: students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, parents and friends.
A Commitment to All:
The Burwell Center will act as a cornerstone of DU’s commitment to students’ short and long-term successes. One key mission will be to engage early and often with as many students as possible. We are committed to an active role in engagement, rather than the outdated standard of passive engagement. In this space, career and professional development programs must be vibrant, specialized and versatile — just like employers, employees and candidates themselves. We will provide experiences and resources for students that meet their needs as individuals, while also cultivating their ability to understand and express where they want to go in the world and opening their eyes to opportunities they might never have thought of on their own

- Employer Connections Floor – A welcoming environment tailored to employer connections. This space will include virtual presentation suites and ample shared working space available to all.
