The Interdisciplinary Research Incubator for the Study of (In)Equality (IRISE) is now focusing on racial inequality affecting lives in Colorado and the larger Rocky Mountain West. In recognition of the region’s longstanding and on-going racial inequality, IRISE will work with leaders and agencies poised to create significant change. Through community-engaged research, problem-centered teaching and policy development, IRISE will tackle racial equity gaps in health and education.

We have now created a series of projects, objectives, and community impact assessments that will drive a two-year initiative beginning in Fall 2018 to draw together the DU community, local communities, legislative communities, and all those interested in closing racial equity gaps in healthcare and education in Colorado and the surrounding Rocky Mountain West.
