Strategic Plan Spring Update

Collaboration for the Public Good

In DU IMPACT 2025 Transformative Direction 3, we committed to engaging with diverse organizations and communities across Denver and throughout the Rocky Mountain West to serve the public good directly, expand economic vitality and enhance mutually reciprocal opportunities for university-community collaboration. We promised to establish a grand challenges program, which we did in fall of 2017. We promised to work to purchase locally and support local employers, cultural organizations and other agencies – to promote economic and cultural development. And most of all, we are actively expanding our support for faculty, students and staff who learn, serve and benefit from community-engaged methods of teaching, research and civic development. DU IMPACT 2025 is pushing us to think about our interconnections with Denver and the region through a public good lens. Below is a snapshot of our progress so far.
